November

Feast of the Tadpole Ash Tree

fête du frêne têtard

Every year in November, The city of Amuré, in Deux-Sèvres, located in the heart of the wet marshes, is organising a weekend of animations about the Tadpole Ash Tree, emblematic tree of the Marais poitevin, to enhance the cultural, environmental heritage of the territory.  Every year, a theme about protecting the environment is also chosen.

Lots of animations for kids and adults: donkey rides, small farms with local races, carousel, workshops (ex.: tree trimming, grafting, creation of natural insecticides…), photo exhibitions on the Marsh of yesterday and today, a market with regional products, walks about fauna and flora, a village of local handicraft, cuttings exchanges, shrubs and hedges plantings, more than 60 exhibitors and  a marsh evening…

Come and see!
