Atlantic Wakepark, big thrills in l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer

Well rested after a nice boat ride with your family on the calm canals of the Green Venice? Willing to get some thrill? There are plenty of possibilities on the Marais poitevin! In l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer, the Atlantic Wakepark is waiting for you. With its nautical lift for beginners and its giant 750-meter nautical lift, beginners and experienced people will find the perfect playground for them.

Nautical lift in Vendée

A few meters away from the Aiguillon-sur-Mer Tourism Office and the swimming area of the seaside resort, the Atlantic Wakepark is ideally situated. As a true institution, more than 30,000 participants come each summer to try or improve – wakeboard, nautical lift, kneeboard or wakeskate – while enjoying the available facilities.

The two-tower cable, entirely dedicated to the discovery and the first sliding feelings, and the instructor’s precious advises get you familiar with the positioning and posture to adopt.

Once you get familiar with everything, it is finally time to try nautical lift. With its 5 towers and a length of 750 meters, you can try several jump modules located on the whole course.

If you don’t have any board or wetsuit, don’t worry: you can rent one of those there!

Splash Game of the Wakepark.

A few meters away from the sand beaches of South Vendée and the Aiguillon Bay, the Atlantic Wakepark offers 4 different aquatic universes. Besides nautical lift, on the other side of the car park and the camper area of the nautical base, on the swimming area of l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer, three activity centres complete the list of animations. The Splash Game (a collection of aquatic inflatable structures), the Warrior Game (a circuit above the water level) and StandUp Paddles and paddleboat rental multiply the activities on the site. For all jack-of-all-trades seeking thrilling sensations, the park offers multi-activity packs which include for each formula one hour of free practise on the nautical lift.

After so much exercise, it is time to refresh and restore oneself. The park is once again there for you. Just a few meters away from the swimming area, the food-truck-style snack-bar offers hamburgers, panini sandwiches, hot-dogs or even salads and numerous refreshments. The right thing for lunch or a break while enjoying the event, the restaurant area is completed with a covered room in case of bad weather… which of course never happens during the summer season on the beaches of the Aiguillon Bay!
